Identification Intenso Memory Center USB3.0 HDD

Intenso Memory Center USB 3.0 external HDDs are currently not detected by HDD Guardian 0.7.2 beta 6.

If you like, with the information given below it should be possible to add them to HDD Guardian.

The Intenso Memory Center USB 3.0 external HDD i am talking about here identifies itself as "Intenso External USB 3.0 USB Device" and is the updated hardware revision of this external HDD model.

Output of the HDD Guardian Toolbox is attached as text files. In these text files, the Intenso Memory Center device is being represented as /dev/sde. (All unnecessary information pertaining to other devices/HDDs are cut from the text files.)

I guess the piece of information most important for you is the USB bridge ID ([0x2109:0x711f]):
******** Scan /dev/sde ********

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

D:\Tools\Diagnostics\HDD Guardian\smartctl>smartctl -a /dev/sde
smartctl 6.5 2016-05-07 r4318 [i686-w64-mingw32-win7(64)-sp1] (sf-6.5-1)
Copyright (C) 2002-16, Bruce Allen, Christian Franke,

/dev/sde: Unknown USB bridge [0x2109:0x711f]
Side note:
The updated revision of this external HDD can be distinguished from the older Intenso Memory Center devices of the same type by the layout of their connectors, the presence of ventilation slots (older model: no ventilation slots) and the type of power switch (newer: push button; older: toggle switch). Since i do not have access to an older Memory Center, i unfortunately can't tell whether these two hardware revisions would share the same USB bridge and/or device ID.

I've add your drive to the database addition that you can download from here.
To make your drive appear, put that file into Smartctl folder inside HDD Guardian installation folder and ther click on Rescan external devices. ;)
