Hi,

No, it's not necessary the entire output, but at least the part where you can see something like this:
Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.14393]
(c) 2016 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\Program Files (x86)\HDD Guardian\smartctl>smartctl -a /dev/sdb
smartctl 6.5 2016-05-07 r4318 [i686-w64-mingw32-win10(64)] (sf-6.5-1)
Copyright (C) 2002-16, Bruce Allen, Christian Franke, www.smartmontools.org

/dev/sdb: Unknown USB bridge [0x1058:0x25da]
Please specify device type with the -d option.

Use smartctl -h to get a usage summary
The portion in bold is the one that do the trick.
In any case, try first to download this file and put it into Smartctl folder inside HDD Guardian installation folder; after that click on Rescan external devices and try to check if the drive is appeared.

Hi, Thanks

I added the drivedb-add.h to the hdd guardian -> smartctl folder where the drivedb.h file is located. Then I clicked on rescan external devices but it is not popping up .

Hi,

To add your device now I need the portion of output as before mentioned; you can find it few lines before the output that you have published in the first post.

Hi,

I've updated the file with your USB id, now your drive should appear.
As mentioned before, you need to download this file and put it into Smartctl folder inside HDD Guardian installation folder; after that click on Rescan external devices and try to check if the drive is appeared.

Thank you! Works great!

By the way, unsure if this is within HDD guardian scope but would it be a pssoible feature to add notification for when HDD size reaches a certain set treshold?

Thanks again.

The main goal of HDD Guardian is to provide a front-end to smartctl (and interpret SMART table results), so monitor a partition for his free space is not the primary scope of HDD Guardian.
In any case, Windows has already this built-in feature, the only thing that the user can't do is set the minimum threshold (see this discussion for more reference).
