Hi,

Actually HDD Guardian can't provide a function to schedule self tests, this is a feature that I want to implement in the future.
Anyway, if you want, you can use Windows Task Scheduler to use the command line tool smartctl (you can find it into "\HDD Guardian\Smartctl" folder) to schedule a self test (on my purpose HDD Guardian on the future put a schedule on Task Scheduler).

To run a self-test with smartctl, use the following syntax:
smartctl.exe /dev/sda -t short
where:
  • /dev/sda is your first device, the second is /dev/sdb and so on;
  • -t short run the short self test, to run the long self test use -t long.
I hope that this can helps, at least until I add this feature! ;)

Greetings,
Sam
